The OG Ellipse, introduced in 1968, the 3548 is a true classic and iconic model from Patek Philippe with this one featuring some extra sauce.. Beyer signed with accompanying Beyer paperwork from sale.
The dial features a fascinating texture, with the crisp BEYER stamp sitting proud above the 6 o’clock position. The dial is in near perfect condition, there is one small mark above the II numeral, only visible in certain lights (see pics in different light positions). The original hands are in great shape, showing some wonderful aging throughout.
Looking at the case the hallmarks are deep and crisp, edges very well defined and the caseback in fanatic condition. there are some light signs of use from age with one more noticeable mark on the underside of the case at 9 o’clock, very common to see some light wear on a 50 year old watch such as this. Case size 27x32mm.
The strap is custom made however an OEM Patek Philippe strap has been ordered and will accompany the sale. The original Ellipse buckle is BEAUTIFUL and instantly recognisable, coming in great condition.
Finally as mentioned the watch has its original Beyer paperwork from sale and has recently been service by fantastic ex Patek Philippe watchmaker.
